Confluence notification not working

I want to receive emails from Confluence If somebody changes the content of a page. I set up the watcher for me on this page. But I get no email after a change. "Send a test email" in Confluence mail servers configuration is working for my email address.

I set up debug logging for

com.atlassian.confluence.jmx

com.atlassian.confluence.mail

I found no real hints for the root cause.

In System plugins these modules are enabled.

page-edited-notification
page-moved-notification
page-trashed-notification

Hi Marco,

How did you test after you set up yourself as a watcher on the page? Did another user make a change and update the page (and keep the box checked to notify watchers)?

Are you getting other notifications from Confluence when they happen?

Yes as  being watcher I made a change on the page and kept the box checked but  there is still no notification.

My colleague complained also  she made a change on other pages and the watchers received no notification and the watchers box were also checked.

We use News Teaser add-on module on the page. Maybe that could be the reason why it fails to work If somebody makes a change on the page.

Look under Settings-> Email and if you don't have the following checked, then you will not receive notifications for changes you make.

The add-on could possibly be impacting your notifications. Can you test again on another page?

I applied this setting. Success.  On the page without News Teaser add-on module it works for me.

I added a space on the page out of news teaser and it works well.
