Hi everyone,
I'm running confluence 6.7 on my own server. After setting the site favicon form [look and feel] page, I can confirm that the www.example.com/favicon.ico is changed to the new one. However for any confluence page the favicon is not changed.
Further investigation found that there's two line in the page source file:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/s/en_GB/7601/6017a6228c95ac4ab2c23e1488007fb69b3151df/5/_/images/brand-images/favicons/fav-confluence.ico">
<link rel="icon" type="image/x-icon" href="/s/en_GB/7601/6017a6228c95ac4ab2c23e1488007fb69b3151df/5/_/images/brand-images/favicons/fav-confluence.ico">
And these two line have of course negated the favicon in the website root. So what do I do to force a update on these icons?
See https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-54888 for the confirmed bug.
The workaround works. And they're planning to fix this in version 6.8
Hi @lionetchen, I have the same issue here: I upgraded to the latest version and I'm not able to change the favicon anymore.
