Confluence link to document

I have a page where I have an appendix and this has hyperlinks to downloaded documents.

Presently when I click on the page it downloads the document to my mac downloads folder.

A friend (who is on holiday) has a similar page originally cloned from mine but his appendix hyperlink when clicked displays the document in the window.

Help How do I stop mine from downloading the files as I would like them to display

Hi @Lisa Overall Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Can you please confirm on which browser you are facing this issue ? Safari or Chrome ? and what type of documents are being downloaded ? doc/pdf/jpg or any other ?

.pptx .doc .xlsx .pdf in Chrome.

Thank you for confirming Lisa.

If your PDFs are downloading instead of opening automatically in Chrome, Chrome PDF viewer could be turned off.

On your computer, open Chrome. Go to Settings. Under “Privacy and Security”, click Site Settings -> Additional Content settings. Select the option as per your requirement either to Download PDFs or Open PDFs in Chrome
