Confluence insert excerpt macro display is weird

In confluence cloud, I'm trying to reuse a wide table of information I've defined in one page (and stuck into an Excerpt macro). On the source page, you can pick S,M,L on the excerpt macro which is fine (not as nice as variable table widths, but servicable).
Problems show up when using the insert Excerpt, esp if you select the Remove title and frame option. If I click that option on, my excerpt does some wild things like: right aligning, and no longer can you choose the S, M, L size options. They're totally gone. If you then un select the Remove title and frame option, you can get the option sizes again.
Normal operation, with "remove title and frame" unselected.
After turning on "remove title and frame":
No size option, displays as narrow.
