I have a team that doesn't use Confluence frequently. I have created a group that provides Confluence Guest and JSM Customer for this team. When these users log in, they are assigned User access. I can demote them to Guests; once they log out and log back in they're promoted to Users again. I cannot find any setting that keeps escalating them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi CJ Harries! I was having the same problem. Users added as guests cannot be part of any other group that grants full access to Confluence. If they are, they will be added to the default Confluence user group as soon as they log in.
