I am setting up an evaluation version of Confluence and am being asked to setup a database. The installation notes that this should not be required as there is a H2 database built in to the evaluation version.

How to I progress my evaluation without setting up a databse?

You do not.

Confluence needs a database for its data storage.  It will ask you whether you want to use the built-in database (only suitable for evaluations, dev and test), or a full one.

I think you've moved past the question about "evaluation or long term database" - click "back" and it will ask again.

I was pretty sure I was selecting Evaluation and not Production so un-installed Confluence, deleted all directories and re-installed and bob's ya uncle I am good to go.

Thanks for your help.
