Confluence and security

We are recently signed up to use Confluence hosted by Atlassian. Our only concern is how secure our data is.

Is our main confluence encrypted?

What has been the history of Atlassian and confluence break ins or the number of attempts to break in.

Pretty much, how secure is Confluence while its hosted by Atlassian?
