Confluence and JIRA got desynchronized after modifying IP address range

Anand Mutagond April 3, 2018

Confluence and JIRA got desynchronized after modifying IP address range. Log in authentication is done through LDAP and it is configured using jira server but we are able to log in to jira.

Long story short, an admin needs to log into Confluence and make sure the user directory is set up for the right Jira IP and the Jira User Server needs to include the new Confluence IP in the Application setup.

For logging into Confluence as an administrator: Restore Passwords To Recover Admin User Rights

To make sure Jira User server expects authentication requests from the Confluence IP:Connecting Confluence to Jira applications for User Management

If the existing user directory won't connect, please follow Connecting to Crowd or Jira for User Management from the beginning and create a new user directory in Confluence. You can still use your LDAP directory via Jira.
