Confluence - Visibility of user sessions?

I may be missing the obvious answer at the moment, but is there a way in Confluence to view a user session to verify that they have logged into the system?

I have a contractor that is claiming to not be able to view a page with special restrictions, even though he has all the permissions needed to view said page.

I use this feature in JIRA all the time and it is very straight forward but I cant seem to find a similar function in Confluence.

We are operating on an instance Confluence 3.5 that is hosted here on site.

Unclear why it's not possible to just look at a page like one can in JIRA.

You may wish to turn on log4j to enable user access logging.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF25/Enable+user+access+logging

You should be able to parse through your logs to determine if a given user has accessed the page in question.
