Confluence: Tick List for multiple steps

Hi

I am trying to work out how i might achieve a goal in Confluence.

We have some processes that we would like people to follow.  We plan to have this documented on a Confluence page(s*) and we would like to add a Tick List for each of those items so people can mark the off once completed.

*We want multiple users to use the Guidance/tick list - so this should be replicable.

Primarily this should fit the purpose of enabling us to go into the page and manually check their progress using their ticked elements.

Even better would be for us to be able to grab that data from multiple pages and have some sort of a view.

Like Nikola mentioned 'Action items' is the macro to use but as your requirement would have different users reusing them, you could create a template page and have eachusers have their own child pages with those checklist of action items to track and complete.

If I understand this correctly, you want multiple people to check they've accomplished individual steps in a single process.

If the number of users is manageable, you can use a table.

	User 1	User 2	User 3
Step one	check mark	check mark	check mark
Step two	check mark	check mark	check mark
Step three	check mark	check mark	check mark

This would work for specific reporting.

But if you want to run it across a large team... well, you'd need some sort of a form. There are apps on the Atlassian Marketplace that provide that functionality. There's also a couple of LMS (Learning Management System) apps that would fit your use case.

Other than that...

There are new Confluence Approvals so you can create workflows... I can imagine this being appropriated for your use case but you'd have to pivot to having a template and assign one copy of a page to each user.

It's more ONE page for a FEATURE (But over time there would be many FEATUREs for MANY teams - hence we would like the checklist to be repeatable)

For each of the steps, it could be completed by ONE OF MANY people in the team - we don't care WHO.

'Check mark' is how i envisaged it... literally a box they can tick and then publish the page to reflect it has been completed (and maybe then for us to track all ticked items across al FEATURE pages - but this is secondary goal).

Hoping this would be achievable 'in-built' rather than an App.

Is the Confluence Approvals is something to consider, but ideally we'd prefer not to assign to individual users.

I have yet to play with Approvals as it was only enabled on my private site yesterday, but it seems that you can have up to 5 approvers - so there's no need to assign it to a specific person.

I think you should look into Approvals (+ page statuses) and automation options that can use them.

What I had in mind is more from a team perspective... so we wont necessarily know WHO is working on it.... and I guess we don't care that much WHO is working on it, so much as it is being worked on and is COMPLETE (or just a importantly, INCOMPLETE, so we can track this and chase)

As an example of the guide, it could be something like.

1) Create Feature page                                                                 
2) Create Skeleton
3) Create Documentation

Hope this description gives a bit more info re our end goals.
