Confluence Space shortcuts and Add link option are grayed-out in sidebar

I am trying to add a link to the sidebar in Confluence Cloud but the option is grayed-out. I have other spaces in the same Confluence instance where this option is available. Is there a reason why some space have this section of the sidebar grayed-out?

Answer accepted

I found it! There is a plus button next to the grayed-out "add link" option. I just needed to add it. It seems that when a space is created using the Documentation template, it doesn't enable this by default.
