Confluence Page String Substitution

I have a confluence page that documents how to formulate UNIX commands.

I'd like to have a little text field and have the text be inserted into the commands to make it easier and less error-prone.

How can I do that?

Hi Todd,

Would the code block macro help? It displays code as distinct from regular text.

If that's not the right solution, please let us know more about the requirements.
