Dear partners,
Which operating system is suitable or better for Confluence self-host installed ? which operating system does most of company use ? Is there these kind of information which we can refer ? Thanks a lot.
Always go with a supported operating system - that means Linux or Windows. It works on other systems fine (Solaris and Mac OS for example), but it is only supported on those rwo.
Technically, I should be neutral on the choice between the them, it should not matter. In real life, Linux is cheaper, faster, more reliable and far easier to configure and maintain than Windows, so use that. Unless you have no Linux support in your organisation (if you've got loads of windows expertise around and no Linux, then don't swap just because it's better, you should go with what you know)
@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- gave you correct answer.
Just add h ere the link to Confluence system requirements.
