Confluence - Mentioning Users

Hi,

I am a confluence / Jira administrator and admin for our entire instance.

I cannot mention users in one of my Confluence page comments.

People with less permissions than I can do so. I cannot find out how to fix this.

Please help as I have already lost over an hour to this issue.

have you verified the Disable Autocomplete option in your profile?
