Confluence Listen Feature - Is there a way to view the briefing as a text script?

Hi ,

I've been using the Listen (audio briefing) feature on Confluence Cloud pages
and have two questions:

1. How does the Listen feature decide what to include in the briefing?
When I click the Listen button, it seems to give a summarized briefing rather
than reading the full page. I'm curious about the selection or summarization logic —
for example, it always seems to finish within about 3 minutes. Is there a defined
algorithm or length limit?

2. Is it possible to view the briefing content as text (transcript)?
Is there any way to see what the Listen feature actually reads out — as text rather
than audio? Sometimes I'd prefer to quickly read through the content instead of
listening to it.

I wasn't able to find relevant information in the official documentation,
so I'm reaching out to the community.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @허민경 ,

Valid questions 👍

I believe audio briefings are still under the Labs umbrella... meaning this is still being polished.

Regarding the questions:

  1. I believe AI scans the page and can include info from a limited number of third-party links to create an overview.
You can influence the length and details of the briefing by selecting between Short or Long options, and by choosing a specific tone. Now, regarding whether there are any specific limitations... I don't think that's actually stated anywhere. 👀
  2. As for the transcript, there's no direct transcript view for the AI-generated audio. You could use Rovo and page summaries instead.
Although I guess what you're looking for could be a nice feature request.

What I'd recommend is reaching out to Atlassian Support - they can probably confirm or provide more insights on the matter 🤔
If they do, I'd appreciate if you could share that here.

Cheers,
Tobi
