Confluence Initial setup Error

Crashes in database setup. it does not matter if it is local database or mysql.

running on a vps with 2gb of ram.

There are no errors i could find in logs.

have tried a different browser.

which Confluence version are you trying to install? Which OS are you using?

I am attempting Confluence 6.14 on Centos 7 with java 8 201 and using the recomended MySQL J connector. have tried several of the answers i have found like clearing out the home confluence. xml and using the 42 j connector the latest in the version 5 is 47.
