Hello,
I am the organization admin for the Atlassian organization "astronutfarm".
Today I tried to access our Confluence Cloud site at astronutfarm.atlassian.net/wiki, and instead of the usual login/content page I get the following error:
"Page unavailable — Your Atlassian Cloud site is currently unavailable."
Request ID: cc48dd249031455d836bf38f5b7724b9
When I checked admin.atlassian.com, my "astronutfarm" organization now shows 0 connected sites/products, even though I am still listed as the sole organization admin there. Separately, logging in today also auto-created a brand-new, empty Confluence site under a different (personal) organization, and I received a "Get started in Confluence" welcome email today as if this were a first-time setup.
Could you please help me understand:
1. What happened to the astronutfarm.atlassian.net Confluence site — was it deleted, suspended, or deactivated, and when did this happen?
2. Whether the site's content/data can still be recovered, and if so, what the process and deadline for recovery would be.
I already emailed support@atlassian.com about this, but received an automated reply saying tickets are no longer created that way and to post here instead.
Thank you,
Young Geun Choi
Hello @young geun choi
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Was that site only hosting Confluence? Was it a Free subscription?
When was the last time you successfully accessed the content?
If it was a Free subscription and you have not accessed it for an extended period of time, then you may have been impacted by Atlassian's policy regarding deactivating and deleting inactive free subscriptions.
I posted an article about it here:
Atlassian Jira/JSM/Confluence Free Tier Inactivity & Data Deletion Timeline
We can't post identical articles in multiple forums so in the Confluence Articles folder I posted a link to it within this article:
Free Confluence Cloud Deactivation Due to Inactivity - How did it happen and what can you do?
The short answer is if it was a Free subscription it is possible that Atlassian deactivated it due to inactivity, after which there is a short grace period before they permanently delete the data. Your data may already be permanently deleted.
Review the article above for details on how to look for clues and how to contact Atlassian for an authoritative answer.
If it was a paid subscription were you current on payments?
In either case you should contact Atlassian directly through this page:
https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing#/
Select "Your account" and "Reactivate subscription".
Good luck!
