A space import which has been exported from another confluence cloud account failed. And now when I retry the import, it fails with the message
"A space with key AI already exists."
I already tried the removespace.action tip which is not working with this issue (I used this tip some months ago and it was working back then).
When calling removespace in the browser URL, the error "Page not found" occurs.
Any solution to this? I have the exact same problem now.
"wiki/spaces/removespace.action?key=AI" This is not working.
It looks like they've renamed it to:
/wiki/spaces/doremovespace.action?key=<space_key>
You can also get to it via Confluence Settings > Data Management > Trashed Spaces and then select the space which you want to permanently remove.
Both methods take you to the above URI and removed the space key from the index. You are free to use that space key once the above operation has completed

Hi @Manuel Weinert,
Can you make sure you have provided a valid base URL and space key as like:
https://xxxxxxx.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/removespace.action?key=AI
If it does not work, you can go for the database queries on Confluence Cloud given in the Resolution 2.
Thanks,
Ram.

Thank you for your response,
Yes the URL is valid as I used this one before, but I wonder how to execute SQL statements in Confluence Cloud?
Regards
Manuel

Hi @Manuel Weinert , was there any feedback about running SQL statements? We also use the cloud and apparently don't get a confluence space deleted ;-) Thanks best Thorsten
