Confluence Admin cannot administer all Spaces

While everything was working correctly, I suddently ended up with the admin user not being able to administer all spaces. I am returned with "Not Permitted - You are not permitted to perform this operation" although this is the admin user we registered the account with.

This is currently blocking us and we'd appreciate your help.

Since it is onDemand, you will have to raise the issue with Atlassian. I am guessing the admin user is probably removed from the admin group. No one else has admin rights?
