Confluence 6 Integration issue with JSD

Ifteqar Ahmed September 14, 2017

I am trying to start confleunce but getting Following error in stdout log

Application starts up fine but service Desk reports integration error.

Something went wrong with the knowledge base plugin. We're not sure what, but we suspect plugin pixies.

Any ideas?.

ERROR: Bundle com.atlassian.plugins.rest.atlassian-rest-module [186] ServiceRegistrationImpl: Error ungetting service. (java.lang.IllegalStateException: Invalid BundleContext.)

I understand Confluence is running but Jira Service Desk is having trouble connecting to it. From the error message, "Something went wrong with the knowledge base plugin" it sounds like a good place to start would be to check whether the Confluence Knowledge Base Blueprints Plugin is enabled.

To check the add-on, please go to Confluence Admin>Add-ons and change the filter from user installed to all add-ons. Search for "Confluence Knowledge Base Blueprints on the page". Expand it and click the enable button if it is indeed disabled.

If the add-on is already enabled, please try the procedure described in: How to clear Confluence plugins cache

If you see timeout errors initializing plugins in the atlassian-confluence.log, please refer to: Plugins are disabled at startup and various timeout errors appear in the logs after startup
