Confluence 6.9 Case sensitivity

Regg Person May 15, 2018

We installed Confluence 6.9 which instructed us to default collation for the database to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS (case sensitive). How do we resolve mixed case group names and user names with this collation constraint?

When I tried to add a group with mixed case, I got an error saying "Group names must be in lower case".  How can I fix this in Confluence so that I can have mixed case group ans user names?

The internal directory does not support mixed case groups.  Confluence insists on lower-case usernames and groups and store all user-related data in lower case.
