I am not sure if this is a Chrome or Confluence Server problems.
In Chrome, the AdBlock plus is disabled for the Confluence pages.
It appears for both Confluence Server 6.14.1 and 6.14.2
I edit a long page for hours, with tens of images and then suddenly I type something and the cursor jumps to the beginning of the page. If I press Publish, the page content is NOT saved - just some very few lines of new edits are saved - though the pasted Images are saved as attachments.
In the Chrome Console there is nothing - no error etc.
How to troubleshoot?
Did you check the application log or the synchrony log of the server?
yes, there is nothing in them.
I am not sure if it could be a Chrome bug - running out of memory or something like that.
What I do not get is that the page has no versions, but all the pasted images are in and when the pages shows updates have been saved.
It has happened already twice.
To prevent it, i close Chrome, and keep publishing.

Hm,
if the log is clean, it could be related to some Chrome addons. Are you using Grammarly or something like that. It's marked as not compatible with Confluence.

THANK YOU.
I do not use Grammarly, but other addins. Is there any log where I could look into?

As the server logs are clear, you can only check on the browser side. STRG+F12 opens the debugging console. Maybe you see some errors there.

Session timeout? Default is 60 minutes. I‘m not sure if editing keeps the Confluence session alive, as Editing changes communicate with another service (Synchrony) of Confluence using websockets. How long have you been editing & did you do some other actions in between?

Are you logged in or using Confluence as an anonymous user?

Well,
the log points to some CORS issues.
