Hello,

I'd like to ask for help in two topics. I've got already installed and configured PostgreSQL and already installed and connected to database Confluence. It's available under URL http://localhost:8090 only on installed PC. How to enable LAN users to access Confluence via their browsers? Do I need additional tools like web server or something? And how to create friendly URL instead of http://localhost:8090, ie. http://confluence.mydomain.com/confluence (without put port number)?

Second is Confluence by default ask me to log in. How to disable it and allow all visitors to browse Confluence contents without log in? In mind I need to log in account only to create new content. For view all content should be allowed for everyone without logi in.

Many thanks in advance for any help!

Hi @Łukasz

for your first question, you can read the documentation to setup Apache, you will basically need to do the following:

  1. Ask your internal IT team to add a DNS record for confluence.mydomain.com that will point to the server IP where you installed Confluence/Apache
  2. Setup an Apache webserver and configure it to have your DNS confluence.mydomain.com to direct traffic to your Confluence instance (localhost:8090 in your case)

for your second question, you will need to enable Public access to Confluence. This page describes how to do this.

Let me know if you have any questions,
