Ideally I would like to be able to configure the email notification for the blog post to only display an excerpt and a link rather than the whole post.
We are planning to track staff engagement using the Page View in confluence to see who has read a blog post. We currently have a central mailing list account that is subscribed to the blog to ensure all staff are notified of the blog post.
Where we have hit a stumbling block is that the email notification for the new blog post contains the entire post. Which means people don't need to view the page on confluence, and the page view tracking gets no love.
So far I've not found any configurable settings or templates for this.
Is there a way to do it?
Okay
I found this:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/customizing-email-templates-168001822.html
But looking at the .soy file it seems the notification email should only contain the excerpt of the blog post.
Have double checked using the Excerpt macro in a post and the email still comes through with the full blog post...
