Hello,
I am looking for a way to have a value preset in an enabled instant search field of a confiforms form.
I know there are Filters which can be preset. In my case I have a dropdown field which was a text field, so there is still some text left which is not yet "converted" to the corresponding dropdown value, which means a filter for that particular field cannot find these cells and until the data is changed, I cannot search the table.
Since many people who have to use the table don't exactly know how, I would like to preset a working filter value in said instant search field, because with this I can still search the table using the text values in that column.
Thank you!
Hi @Dominik Schick and welcome to Atlassian community
I believe it makes sense to get the data consistent and that could be done by updating it with REST APIs
Filter can be preset, but via the specifically crafted URL - see https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/CONFIFORMS/Creating+links+to+filter+views+from+request+parameters+-+url

Dear @Alex Medved _ConfiForms_ ,
thank you for your answer, the URL parameter works exactly as I want it to!
Follow-up question: Is there a way to change the URL of a page or set that as "default" so that when a person searches for the page via the confluence search bar and opens it that way, the filter is still applied?
The data will definitely be made consistent. The instant search filter is meant as a workaround as some employees have to work with the data right now and before it is changed to all dropdown values.
