Hello,
In the below link there is an example which is matching with my requirement.
https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/CONFIFORMS/Using+ConfiForms+CalendarView+to+display+data+in+Calendar+in+Confluence
my only concern is i do not know anything about macros :) hence i don't know how to do the last step.
Help!!!
Hi
Not sure I understand the full context of your question - do you know what a Confluence macro is, in general? The best starting point is to read this tutorial.
As for ConfiForms Calendar - this macro is a part of ConfiForms app for Confluence for building data forms and mini apps
You need to install this app into your Confluence and then you will have the corresponding macros in your server available
Hope it helps and unblocks you for now
Hi Alex,
Thanks for sharing the basics of macros, i will surely try to go through it and learn also i have confiforms installed i am aable to do all mentioned step on that page..can you help me with my previous query where in the above link(at bottom) my question is specific for the "group by" function used for field label ...i don't know syntax of "group by" function and i am unable to get that from confi help site as well.i have a very short time to create this on priority only the obstructing part is group by else everything is shown there on link step by step.

There is nothing extra required to be done to group the fields by date, there is no extra "group by" function.
You just need to put your date field you want to use in your CalendarView into the "Name of the field to use as a grouping field" parameter, as shown in the screenshot at https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/CONFIFORMS/Using+ConfiForms+CalendarView+to+display+data+in+Calendar+in+Confluence?preview=/2064423/2064420/calendar-view-3.png
And the data will be grouped by this date field in the calendar for you
