Comala Workflows- confluence data centre

Parthiban Narayanasamy July 12, 2018

Hi There,

We have the comala workflow installed in our dev box with 100 users license (confluence) and 100 users license for comala. And document is being published to confluence data centre (with 25K license).

We are planning to move the comala work flow to confluence data centre and use single environment. As of now we have 100 license for comala, and 25K license for confluence users.

can i use the same config with respective of user license, or do i need to match the license counts. should i buy 25k license for comala workflow?

Hi @Parthiban Narayanasamy, you've got it exactly right - the size of your Comala Workflows must match that of your Confluence instance, so you'd need a 25K Workflows license.

Thanks Mike for your quick response.

Is there any performance issue / slowness expected if we use Comala for large instances?

Hi @Parthiban Narayanasamy, you shouldn't notice any major difference in performance when using Comala Workflows in a large instance. The app does carry the "data center" tag in the Atlassian Marketplace, meaning it is compatible with the clustering and high-availability capabilities of Confluence.

We have placed some limits in the app to ensure that it runs smoothly. For example, the amount of users you can assign to review a single page is capped at 500. But, most teams will never run into these limits, even at 10,000+ users.
