Code block macro highlighting color

Dmitriy Ivannikov
May 27, 2021

Hi dear all!

We use Confluence Server 7.11.1.

The issue that we've faced is that we need to customize the color theme of the Code Block macro,

For now, we are not happy with the code elements highlighting (such as comments, values, and others). We need to change some colors within this macro.'

The "Configure Code Macro" functionality allows changing the default theme and default language, but no more.

How can we deal with our problem?

Please check attached) File 'ourdocs' - is what we have. File 'vscode' - displays how it is implemented in Microsoft VSCode.

I wonder maybe it can be fixed by custom CSS or something like this.

I have found a GitHub repository of Syntax Highlighter. It seems that I need to include this script into my Confluence in any way)

Hi, @Dmitriy Ivannikov !

I think it is impossible out-of-box in Confluence. Like you already told there are languages and themes that have own highlighting.

Can you show us any example what do you need(as is / to be)?

Maybe we can recommend you solution in that case.
