Click link to expand sidebar?

Is there a way to expand the sidebar by clicking a link in my current page?

When you expand or hide the sidebar, the "https://YOURDOMAIN.atlassian.net/cgraphql?q=UpdateLocalStorageMutation" runs. However trying to request this endpoint will not get you what you want:

For me this is too much fuss. Just tell them to press "[" to hide/show the sidebar.
