Change textcolor in Confluence Whiteboard sticky notes and template elements

I want to highlight certain text parts in the sticky notes and template elements of confluence whiteboard with a different color

How is this basic feature possible ? 

It seems like changing the textcolor is only possible for explicit text elements, but as soon as you type something into a sticky note a f.e a UML element, you cannot change the text color anymore. The only thing that can get changed is the background color of the stickynote or the element.

Am I missing something here?

You are not missing anything, this is not possible.

There are multiple open requests around colouring options in relation to Confluence whiteboards on the public jira (https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa ).
