We hosted our first Atlassian Success Champion session going though the Tasks and Task Lists features of Confluence.
For some odd reason we had three users where in the training where Tasks don't display on the menu when they click on their profile pictures.
I then proceeded to create own tasks and tag these three users and confirmed that the tasks exist in my own Task list. But still after 24 hours these users do not see the option in their menu. When they visit the Task URL they are able to see the list.
Is this a bug in Confluence or a particular setting/feature flag that needs to be enabled?
Unfortunately, this is a known issue > see CONFCLOUD-82752: Tasks option missing from the Profile menu in Confluence 👈
I'd suggest leaving a vote, a comment, and setting yourself as a watcher.
Within the linked bug, you can see the workaround they've listed and which those users can use.
I believe this is tied to specific account sync states - when some accounts aren't fully synced with the Confluence database, certain UI elements may fail to render. 🫤
I do think we've managed to reach out to the Atlassian Support team and that they did a manual fix, but that was some time ago, so I cannot say for sure.
Cheers,
Tobi
Hello @Carike Blignaut-Staden
Ask one affected user to open the direct URL: <your-site>.atlassian.net/wiki/home/tasks
If that works well, then it's some UI inconsistency, and you should then address it to Atlassian support.
Best,
