Cannot insert files or images

Was working fine yesterday. Today I cannot insert any files or images. I click on the option and nothing happens.

Fixed! It was an issue with permissions. However, some feedback - there should be something indicating that the error was due to permissions. We had to guess at what it was. If I cannot insert images or files due to permissions then the option should either not be there (or greyed out) or an error should appear notifying me how to fix it.

@Maria Santamaria what were the permission issues? I'm having a similar issue and have investigated permission but can not determine a root cause.
