Hi,
I have recently imported a space from another Confluence Cloud Account. I encountered an issue in the first migration so I deleted the space and imported it again a second time (from .zip file). The second time the migration worked properly and all my content is migrated.
However when I now try to create a new page under the imported space I get this error:
I am reporting here the specific cause of the issue and how I fixed it.
Looking more in detail at permissions on the Space I found that users from the original space were also imported with very limited permissions (only view). One of the users imported also happened to have the same name as my current user on the space.
I was able to reset all permissions by clicking on "Grant Access to All Users" under space settings > Permissions. This fixed the original issue.
Hi @Edoardo Palmieri Welcome to Atlassian Community!
Since you have already checked the permissions, can you try clearing cache of your browser and retry the operation ? are you facing the same behavior on other browsers ?
If you are a primary contact or site administrator for your Confluence site, you can also raise a ticket with Cloud Support.

Hi Kishan,
I have tried clearing my browser's cache (on G Chrome). I have also tried from Safari. In both cases I got the same error as above.
I cannot seem to be able to open a ticket either (perhaps because I am on a free plan?). The only options I am presented with are:
1. Getting help from the Atlassian Community
2. Check out our Confluence how-to guides
Any thoghts?
Edoardo

Hi Edoardo,
You are right, since you are on free plan, you are not entitled for support.
I think since you deleted and reimported the backup, there might be some database inconsistencies occurred resulting in the error you are getting. You can try creating a new space and try moving all the pages to the new space and see if that works for you.

Hi Kishan,
Thanks for getting back to me. I tried to move/copy a page from the space I am having the issue with to another space but I do not even have the option! (see below)
As you can see I do not get the options to copy/move the page like I do on a different Space (see below the screenshot from the other space I created manually)
Do you know what could cause this?
Thanks
Edoardo.

Hi Edoardo, thanks for providing the screenshot, from the first one, it seems like you don't have permission to move the pages from the problematic space. I think the permissions have been messed up due to deletion and reimport of the space. Any other colleagues of yours are able to move the pages or they are also having the same issue ?

Hi,
I am the only user under this account.
Is there a way to reset the permissions? Alternatively, is there a way to permanently delete the space so that I can reimport it again from a clean account?
Thanks
Edoardo

Hi Edoardo,
Please try adding yourself as individual user on the space. Also you can try Solution 2 - Use the copy page hierarchy feature on this link to copy space using copy page hierarchy to see if that works for you?

Hi,
Thanks for your help. I was able to solve the issue by going to the Space Settings and click on "Grant Access to All Users" under the permissions settings.
Thanks!
Edoardo

Hello @Edoardo Palmieri ,
How about space permissions. do you have add page permissions in space settings.
if yes, please try reindex all documents.
Settings ---> general --> reindex.
Thanks,
Anvesh

Hi Anvesh,
Thanks for getting back to me. Indeed, all users have permissions to add pages (I actually cannot change permissions from the defaults ones - see attached - since I am on a free plan).
Thanks.
