Cannot create a page on Confluence

I am getting a connection timeout error when trying to publish a page. This is a new install of Confluence Server and has not been used till now. 

I have been trying to follow the instructions on the below site but there seems to be too many links inside that site to figure out what is actually wrong.

Hello @Luis Mendez ,

IT is better to check <home-directory>/logs/atlassian-confluence.log and Synchrony logs at  <home-directory>/logs/atlassian-synchrony.log to see what exceptions/errors are written there at the  moment you try to publish a page. If it is TEST instance, you can try to switch Collaborative Editing off and see if the page is saved OK - then it is Synchrony issues.
