I am space admin and I am trying to add a new user to the space but keep getting the message "cannot find specified URL".  I have tried various ways to add this user (who is in AD) and have tried other users but cannot get around this.

Help much appreciated!

Hi Samantha,

I'd like to get a bit more clarity about the steps you're taking.

  • What exactly do you mean by "add a new user to the space"? Are you trying to add them to the space permissions?
  • What steps are you taking to get to the page where you see the "cannot find specified URL" error?
  • What is the URL of this error page?

Thanks!

Find user.pngSpecified URL cannot be found.png

Hi Zak

I'd just like to apologise for the delay in responding.

I am trying to add permissions through Space Tools by editing individual permissions.:

1. Click on Space Tools | Permissions

2. Scroll to Individual Users

3. Find user (linked to AD)

4. Click on Add

5. Page shows "The specified URL cannot be found".  The URL is https://confluence.companydomain/spaces/doeditspacepermissions.action?key=spacename

We used to be able to administer permissions in this way before but it is not working on any space.

I have attached a couple of images for confirmation.

Thanks

Samantha
