Can you allow a user to view a space but not the whole site?

We have multiple spaces on our site. I want to add a user so they can view the documentation, but I want to make it so that this user can only view this space and not all of the spaces in the site. Is this possible?

Hi Victoria,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

Yes, you can control what a user have access to via Global Permissions and Space Permissions

@Victoria Guerrero,

  This all comes down to your space permissions. Here is some reference material on Space Permissions.

  • If "New User" is in the confluence-users group, "new user" will have access to any space that uses  "confluence-users" for space permissions.
  • You would need to review your current spaces' permissions to see what the new user would see.

Since confluence-users is our application access group, confluence-users would only see safe/non sensitive content in any space. We then lock down more sensitive spaces by other internal or active directory groups.

Hope this helps!
