Can't restore a page in confluence

Andy Atkinson
July 14, 2026

I can use the compare version feature and the AI summary shows me the changes. They are correct. When I say 'restore' on the past version that has the changes, everything says 'restored vXYZ' but the page content remains the same.

Looks like a bug!

Can anyone help here

Thanks

Hi @Andy Atkinson

That’s definitely not expected, restoring a version should simply create a new "latest" version in your Page History.

Check if a new version actually got created. If it did but looks unchanged, try a hard refresh, check edit mode, or see if the content is pulled in via an "Include" macro (which always shows live data).

Another Browser. Incognito Window.

If no new version was created at all, it's likely a backend bug. You'll want to open a ticket with Atlassian Support and share your Page ID and version details.

Best,

Arek🤠
