Recently posted a page, whenever we want to add an inline comment of character "查", we get a notice that it cannot be saved like below.

But if we copy the content of the page to another one, we can add the inline comment.

Not sure about the cause, hope somebody can help, thanks!

Hi Naomi,

I'm attempting to replicate this on Confluence Server 6.6.2, but I am not able to. I tried selecting both English and Chinese text and commenting with "查", per your example.

  1. Could you tell me what the error translates to in English that you're seeing?
  2. What errors do you see in your Confluence Server logs at the same time as generating the error?
  3. Do there happen to be any emoji on the page?
  4. Lastly, what version of Confluence are you using?

Thank you for your help!

Regards,

Shannon
