I can't delete the default space which is an issue that appears to have been fixed so I am nto sure what to do: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-68319
If there is no fix can I delete just my Confluence account and reimport the data I want to keep.
This bug has been fixed for new users so a new issue has been created here for existing users which has been put on the long term backlog: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-69052
This means a fix for this issue is required, but planned for farther in the future. This is because it’s not as severe or pervasive as other issues. But I doubt its ever going to get fixed as the original issue was first reported 3 years ago.
The workaround was to upgrade to the Premium plan trial period and use the admin key feature to gain access to the delete spaces tab and delete the space.
This just confirms something I have known for a long time but just want to say it out loud. Atlassian Support is rubbish.
Hi @ADarkDividedGem As per that article, seems like there is no workaround at the moment for this. You can simply copy required content to new space and remove view/edit permissions from it so that no one can access it.

Hi,
The article also says its been fixed "Resolution: Fixed" so if that is not the case it looks like the article needs to be updated.
Also there is no "Permissions" tab in the "Space Settings" section for the space I want to do delete. So I can't prevent people from seeing it.
