hi, my question is simple: can i use Confluence with other companies?
For example: My company have an account Confluence with xxx users and, for a project, we must collaborate with other company that have another Confluence account with xxx users. Can i create 1 (or more) sharing pages/docs?
I want to access my account and find job-sharing. The other company must have the same thing.
Is it possible?
Thanks a lot. Regards, Umberto
The simple answer is "yes".
However, it sounds like you have two Confluence installations here, so you'll need to think about how you do cross-collaboration on both systems.
The simple approach is to set up accounts for everyone on both Confluences so that a person can work on both of them. I'd also set up an application link so that both of them can have friendly links to each other.
A more complex approach might be to have pages that are held one confluence and duplicated over to the other - possibly even both ways. Or for a full integration, host the pages in one and try to set it up so that users invisibly read/write those when they're included in the other. There are some plugins in the marketplace which do things like that (Myself, I've only ever had a couple of "shared" pages and written a really simple "if any of these pages change during the day, push copies over to a second confluence over SOAP during the night" script, so I'm not experience enough to point you at plugins)
