Can Resolving Inline Comments be Disabled and Comments Locked?

Because Confluence doesn't enable locking sections of text, we want to use the inline comments to make a permenant record of comments on sections. It seems we can disable deleting the comments, but they can still be Resolved and then have to be restored. Is there a way to configure the inline comments to disable the Resolve function? Also we want to lock the comments in view only mode once a document is finalized. Is there a way to do this?

Hello John,

Thank you for contacting us about this. There's not a way to do this right now, but there's a feature request below to be able to disable comments:

  • CONFSERVER-54514 Give Confluence admins the ability to 'lock down' a blog post or disable comments and likes

There may be an add-on that could help you to control this, so you may want to have a look on Marketplace:

Let me know if you have any questions about that.

Regards,

Shannon
