Hello everyone!
I have a pretty straightforward question:
I'm managing a Confluence Space and I get notifications for basically everything that happens in that Space. So far, so good.
However I'm doing a lot in this space myself and I'm quite annoyed to receive 30+ E-Mails a day about things that I did myself. I'm very much aware of what I did and don't need a notification about that ;-)
Is there a way to disable this while still receiving Notifications about everything that other People are doing in the space I'm managing?
If not: WHY?? IMO this should be a no-brainer and a feature that's very easy to implement!
thanks in advance!
Hi @Peter L
Click on your profile > settings > email & make sure that you have "Notify on my actions" checkbox unchecked. This should stop email for your actions.
Hi @Vishal
Thank you very much! The translation of this setting into German is unfortunately not precise, which is why I thought this setting doesn't just disable notifications about my own actions but rather about those of others as well - reading it in english in your screenshot made me realize that this is a translation error.
This helps a lot! :-)

Turning off notifications for one's own actions is indeed straightforward. I also wanted to add that many Confluence users don't stop here - they want to implement a bit smarter notification emails and change the layout, schedule (twice a week instead of daily, etc.) the exact content (make it like a newsletter), or the recipients.
If you don't find the Confluence notifications settings granular enough and want to learn about your options, I recommend this article about changing the Confluence Daily Digest into a better email experience.
