Can I tune the tagcloud calculations ?

is there a way to tune the tagcloud calculations to happen only every x hours or so ?

You could surround the tag cloud with the cache macro, So the actual tag cloud gets executed only when the cache interval (e.g. 30mins, 6 hours, ...) has ended. But be careful: The cache macro does not care for different users, so every user sees the same contents (do not use with tag clouds for restricted content).
