We have an enterprise licensed Confluence Instance where we have millions of articles from a lot of spaces for all LOBs. Now, we need to index them through an ElasticSearch Log stash which will connect to the confluence backend SQL Server and retrieve the content from BODYCONTENT table and indexed them into Elastic Search.

As some products have some restrictions to touch their backend databases, I want to check whether there are any such restrictions in terms of licensing agreement for Confluence too. Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Customers are free to query their databases which host Confluence. It is not against the license agreement.

When querying your database you are advised to take great care and always make backups  and stop Confluence before making any changes.

Shannon
