Can I make my pages in Confluence available (view only) to anyone (public)?

Do I need a special license in order to do this?

Of course, they will not have a license.

Confluence Server allows anonymous user access, but Confluence Cloud prohibits anonymous access.

Sorry I'm new to thins and don't know the difference.

 I am single freelance writer who wants to create web content for my customers using a simple ui.

Can I use Confluence for this?

Can I give my customers a link to distribute to their customers?.

At first you need to define the type of your Confluence instance - is it a server (you host it, you are the admin) or a cloud (Atlassian hosts it for you)?
