Can I ignore formatting changes in email notifications?

I like getting email notifications when there are changes to pages that I am "watching." I also like having the changed content appear in the email notifications so I can see exactly what happened. What I don't like, however, is having changes to formatting also appear in the email notifications.

If there is a large table and someone makes a small edit, the entire table will appear in the email notificaiton, highlighted in blue, because of an inconsequential change to the column widths. This makes it difficult to find the red and green highlights, which is what I want. (While I'm mentioning it, it'd be nice to ignore renumbering as well.)

My guess is that this is not an option, but I thought I would ask anyway. Thank you.

Mark, there is not an option in Confluence to opt out of emails generated by formatting-only edits, but I thought your use case was so well phrased that I took the liberty of creating a suggestion ticket, quoting you: As a user I would like to be able to opt out of receiving emails for formatting-only changes

The ticket is public-facing so you may comment or vote on it to get the attention of the dev team as well as watch it for updates if you like.

One small clarification: Yes, I don't want to receive notifications that are formatting only. If there's a small change in content (i.e. text) on the page I would still like to get the notification, however, it would be nice if all the formatting stuff was ignored. I get these huge emails where everything is blue and then buried in there I have to find the red and green stuff.
