Our engineering team is having issues with collaborative editing, as we require change notes, but if one user publishes then all changes of those that are concurrently editing at the time are published as well. This results in incomplete/inaccurate change notes it can cause several documentation issues for us. Is there any way to turn Collaborative Editing off in Confluence Cloud?
what you're describing is indeed the intended behaviour for Collaborative Editing - however this cannot be turned off as far as I know for Cloud.
The solution is to ask users not to publish the page but rather close it so it can be saved as draft, this way you can publish it only when everyone is done with their changes.
