Is there a way to bulk change variants?
For example, I want to add a variant to a space, or to modify certain pages to include or exclude an attribute. Instead of doing this one page at a time (the document may contain several hundred pages), can I select pages and change them all at once?
Hello Robert,
Thank you for contacting us. I'm not really sure what you mean by "variants" or "attributes" in relation to Confluence.
Can you tell us, is this in relation to a 3rd party add-on, perhaps? For example, I think the add-on Scroll Versions for Confluence might have functionality that involves something called variants.
Once we have more information on what you are trying to do, then we can suggest something for you.
Regards,
Shannon
It might be a K15T product. It has a three color bar at the bottom of the dialog boxes.
So changing the question a little bit, I want to add labels to a range of pages. Is there a Confluence way to do that?

This is Roman from K15t. It’s not currently possible to assign variants in bulk in Scroll Versions. We have a feature request for it: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/VSN-1709. Please watch and vote.
In regards to adding labels to multiple pages, I don’t think Confluence can do this on its own. There are third-party app such as Power Scripts that allows you to do so.
Cheers.
Roman.

Robert,
As Roman mentioned, it's not possible to add labels to multiple pages at a time in Confluence.
We have the feature request for this below:
Besides the Power Scripts add-on that Roman mentioned, we have many other scripting add-ons in Marketplace that might be able to help you with this.

Shannon

I just noticed. This rather obvious feature has been requested for more than five years? We have documents approaching 500 and 600 pages, and getting to the limit of what Confluence can do for us.
Is there anything we can do to jump start these issues?

Hello Robert,
Features are implemented based on our Implementation of New Features policy and while there's nothing specific you can do to jump-start the implementation, I would encourage you to vote, watch, and leave your feedback on the threads.
Have a read through the policy document, and if you have any questions, please do let me know!

Shannon
