Automatically import pages to Confluence

Hi

I know Confluence can import text files from a dir. and create pages of them. This can be done from the Confluence admin pages.

Is there a way to make Confluence do this automatically or do I have to implement a PlugIn for this?

I have a situation where I produce some log files every day and I want to make them visible for the customer in Confluence without any manual work.

No, I am not running OnDemand and WebDAV seems to be just a directory share for the OnDemand version. But thanks for the answer.

WebDAV can be configured for Download versions as well (we did)

to let some users edit/add spacecontent from outside the webbrowser

Two of the criterias for using WebDAV are not running Confluence over https and use port 80. I fail on both :-(

That was the one I was reading. It says the following:

To map a Confluence WebDAV client network drive, your Confluence instance must be configured so that all of the following criteria is met:

• Uses HTTP (not HTTPS)
• Listens on port 80 (not 8080, which is the default port value used by the popular application server Apache Tomcat that runs many Confluence EAR / WAR installations, or 8090, the default for Confluence distributions)
• Has no context root
• There is an issue (WBDV-208) that can prevent Network Drives from being mapped. Please use the Network Folders steps below as a workaround.

The reason for these restrictions results from limitations in Microsoft's Mini-Redirector component. For more information, please refer to Microsoft's server discovery issue.

I'm using https and port 8009. Or am I misunderstanding something here?

that shouldn't really matter.

the https from the first url is related to the server config atlassian uses...

you will be able to connect on non SSL hosts too

i won't say that you may be misunderstanding sth...

afaik webdav is included in confluence..(what version are you using?)

just give it a shot...and try to connect. there are examples for all platforms i.e. windows, max os x and linux

You are right. It works! I think this can be used. I will try this before the CLI-solution suggested. This is free ;-)
