Auto create JSD ticket directly from Confluence

Hi, 

We are doing change control requirements documents in confluence, which will be approved by a number of stakeholders. Once approved, a JSD ticket must be opened for the change control process. 

Is there any way i can auto create a JSD ticket from confluence through automation or any other means using some of the information in the confluence template like title, description and a link back to confluence.

Reading the details you provided, I believe that the best option, in this case, would be using an add-on like ScriptRunner. 

Automation is a feature available only for Jira, so currently, it's not possible to create automation rules in Confluence to create Jira issues.
